Professor Hou Zhongsheng's article was selected as the top paper of 2020 "Frontrunner 5000"

In order to further promote the development of my country's sci-tech journals, improve its overall level, better publicize and utilize my country's outstanding academic achievements, and play a leading and exemplary role. The Institute of Science and Technology Information of China selected outstanding academic papers from among the top Chinese scientific and technological journals, and built the "Top Runner 5000-Top Academic Paper Platform for Chinese Excellent Scientific and Technical Journals (F5000)", which focused on the external display and exchange of my country's excellent academic papers. The first condition for the selected papers of this project is to enter the top 1% of the papers cited in the core journals in each discipline, and the second condition is the papers from the fine journals. The "Frontrunner 5000" project was carried out by the China Institute of Science and Technology Information. "Frontrunner 5000" will use the WOK international retrieval system platform to realize document linking and international citation retrieval on the same platform as the SCI database, and display and promote my country's most important scientific research results to the world's scientific and technological colleagues on a larger scale. In the future, my country's domestic excellent journal scientific and technological papers, especially those written in Chinese, will be promoted to the international science and technology arena, so that more people can understand Chinese science and technology.




The 2071 scientific papers selected in 2020 are based on the "Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citation Database (CSTPCD)", using a combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, and selecting the best from the 5th "China Fine Science and Technology Journals" Select the academic papers published during 2015-2019 as the nominated papers of F5000, and calculate the baseline of the top 1% highly cited papers. There are more than 5800 papers with cumulative citations above the baseline. After screening, finally Top papers in fine journals identified.
